I promised I would post before and after photos of my back garden. Well here goes. You can't see too much on the before photos as everything was covered in snow, but I hope you get the general impression.

Work in progress, gives you some idea of the "lawn"

and as it is now

Not their yet, but on it's way.

Dove, good points, id nit considered the children in need aspect.
Lesley and dove, a lot of what came out at the meetings was the same fights, concerns and problems as 20+ yearsago. One case was a wheelchair funded for school but not allowed at home or in the community. ,,,,,,,

Something I've come across so many times - totally insane and all about money rather than need

Back to gardening ..........

Talk of wheelchairs reminded me. Last year a young chap at work had to have his leg amputated at the knee. The hospital told him that they no longer suply wheelchairs!!! We had a collection for one and the company matched it pound for pound.

I see Verdun, leaning on a fence, hat on head, looking at the passing tractors with a piece of straw in his mouth. The typical country bumpkin.

Evening all.... Garden nearly ready for the winter. Both front and back lawns had their last cut of the year, (I hope).  All beds trimmed back and mulched. Pots emptied and put away until spring. Only got the chrythamums left to do, but can't do them until after the first frost. now I''m Kn*****ed. Feet up with a cuppa and cake time.
