HELLO FORKERS!

Am I daft. I LOVE cutting my lawn. It's getting the mower out and putting it away I don't like.

Worries & troubles that affect Forum friends.

Yes WW I love cake. We have a guy who comes round, weekly in a van, selling home made cakes. A bit like an ice cream man. Pity I work alternate shifts, I miss him when I'm on lates.

I want a bigger garden, ( not too big ). Before we moved into this house I never had a garden I could do what I wanted to, (ex was a control freak) so I didn't look at the garden.

HELLO FORKERS!

Morning All First time I've ventured into here. Booked this week off work, hoping to get the garden ready for winter. Unfortunately not had the best weather for it. Have managed to do most of what I wanted, except giving the lawn it's final cut of the year.

My back has told me that I have done too much, or not done it properly, so I'm not up yet.

Still strange as I 'm probably no more than 30 miles from Ginglygangly - at 5pm I was off to the allotment in glorious sun!

Where is Ginglygangly? I love the name and tried looking on Google maps, but it couldn't find it.

Am I missing something here? Or have I lost the plot .......again?

Thanks both of you, after the first frost I will cut them back to just above soil level and mulch them.

I think mine must be hardy, because thinking back, when we were last year we, somehow, broke one of them fairly near the base and thought we had killed it. But it has turned out to be the best one this year.

I have got two Autumn flowering chrythamums I planted nearly 2 years ago and they are getting too big. I have been told that I should have cut them back when they had finished flowering.

When do I do this?  (as they had flowers for most of the winter) and do I just hack them down to the ground or what?

As you can see my fingers are not very green.

Thanks all.

help please as regards my dog

gran, have you got one of those thingys that holds the food/water bowls a bit higher? just thinking, if he has ear ache, he might not want to lower his head to drink

If not. You could try putting his food and water bowls on top of a small up-turned box.
