Do you snore? Its possible you could have an obstruction or breathing problem without knowing it, try all of the above, give it a month or so then get checked out if it dosent improve

I hadn't thought of that. OH says I do snore.  He got me some herbal Nytol at Asda this morning. 30 in a pack and you take 2 an hour before bed. I'll try them and if I get no joy it will be a trip to the doctors, I just don't like bother them until I've tried everything else.

Thanks all and please keep the advice coming. I'm prepared to try anything to get a full nights sleep.

Thanks all. I'm not stressed, not going through the menopause, ( I'm 55) , don't put the telly,PC, kindle on when I get home from work, I do take my phone up to bed, I have to. (OH is a driver and is on the road).

I don't dream, so I know I'm not going into a deep sleep.

I'm thinking of trying herbal Nytol tablets. Anyone tried these?

I know this is not a gardening problem, (sorry), but I'm hoping you kind people can help me.

No matter what time I go to bed I get to sleep no problem, but about 2 hours later I am awake again feeling as if I have slept all night. I'm then just dozing on and off for the rest of the night. This has been going on for about 3 months now.

I have cut out coffee completely, only drink a maximum of 4 cups of tea a day, and none after 6 O'clock.

I have tried getting up for a while then going back to bed, but that doesn't work.

I have had two weeks off work(holiday) during this time, no difference.

This is really getting to me now,as come mid afternoon I'm exhausted!

I don't want to resort to taking sleeping tablets, so was hoping you kind people have got any ideas how I can kick my body back into rhythm.

I can beat that. My uncle would never sign his full name unless it was legally binding. His middle name was 'Unexpected'

A Senior Moment.

I made a doctor's appointment for Monday afternoon telling the receptionist I was on early shift. About an hour later I had to ring back and change it when I remembered I was actually on late shift.

Two of my three remaining sunflowers are about 6' tall, the other is only about 3'. None of them are showing any signs of a flower yet.
