I need your help

Darryl I have to cut out biscuits completely. ......I can't just eat one if I open the packet i have to finish it.

Mrs Garden what I have been having is a portion of Belvita breakfast biscuits for my breakfast   (they keep me full until lunchtime ) then it's a salad with a small portion of either noodles, pasta or potatoes, and at teatime it's fruit and low calorie yoghurt.  If I want anything in between it's grapes.

I know Belvita is not the best breakfast but when I'm back at work I start at 6 am and can't face eating anything else at that time in the morning, but know how important breakfast is.

Thanks again all of you.  I am going to carry on mostly the same way as I have been doing this last couple of weeks,  but I am going to make sure I drink more water.  I don't have sugar in my tea and coffee  and I don't drink alcohol at all.  (I used to live with an alcoholic )

It is a lot easier this weather as all I want to eat is salad and fruit but when the weather turns will be the problem. I will need all of my willpower then.

I will keep you posted.  Don't forget to look in next Saturday to check up on me. If I know you're all checking up on me I can't cheat.

Thanks all,  I knew about some of the things, but not others.  I didn't know about the triggers for hunger and thirst being the same.

Lyn,  I can't remember the last time I was 8.5 stone,  but at 5'10"  I would look ill if I was that weight.  Two weeks ago I was 14 stone 1 pound,

Jinxygg,  when do you weigh yourself.  Maybe if we both post updates on here we can support each other.  I will post every Saturday .

Jinxygg I have to be careful what exercises I do as I have problems with my back,  (mainly why I have to lose the weight ), but I do walk as much as I can. I have heard that about grapefruit, but I'm not allowed to eat them due to my medication.

Darryl I am not into aps and all that techy stuff.  I can't understand it, but thanks for the input.  I might have a look and see if I can understand it.

Please help me.  I need to lose about 2.5 stone  (37lb ). I started eating sensibly 2 weeks ago,  cutting out all the things I shouldn't eat, (cakes,  crisps,  chocolate etc.)

I weigh myself every Saturday morning and I am proud to say that I lost 3.5 lbs both weeks.

I am not joining any slimming group, but would like all you lovely people to encourage me and keep my hopes up.

I know it will be a long haul, but I WILL do it.

Well done Wonky,  It is nice to see your efforts appreciated.  I remember the joy I had overhearing people saying how nice my garden is now compared to what it was like when the previous tenants were there.

Gardening & what else?

My hobby,  when I am not in the garden,  is doing jigsaw puzzles.  Mostly 1000 pieces which I complete in a couple of days. ..........normally.

Get an empty 2 litre pop bottle,  cut the top and bottom off,  then cut it in half.  Put them round the stem,  partially buried in the soil,  and join them back together with copper tape,  (round the bottle, ) making sure that the ends of the tape overlap each other.

It may not look good but should keep the slugs off them.

Caterpillars on my sprouts

Thanks to you both.  I had another look just now and I think I will get a caterpillar spray tomorrow.  There seems to be too many to pick off.

Caterpillars on my sprouts

I have loads of caterpillars on my sprouts and they are having a lovely meal of the leaves.  It is only the sprouts that are affected.  I don't really want to kill them,  but is there anything I can do to stop them from eating all the leaves.
