Poorly Rose

Posted: 04/06/2012 at 16:39
All my roses are grown in pots as I was planning to move house and didn't want to leave them. They have been growing very well in them for a good 5 years. I give them good drainage and water them until it runs out of the bottom of the pot. Every year the top third of compost is taken off and replaced. I too had a pot which got too dry and ants found it. Happy to say that sorted the ants out and repotted the rose and it's doing great. They are time consuming in pots and now we have decided not to move, I'm creating a rose garden and getting them in the ground.

Gardeners World Live

I've been going for at least 3 years, and will be there this year. Mixed thoughts on the good food section, it's ok but it would be better if they kept the garden bit the same size as it was before the food section, and open another hall. It's still well worth the visit and a 2 hour drive. It takes me the same time a word of caution I have nobody to share the driving with so it can be very exhausting to drive both ways and walk round. So leave plenty of time to get back home.

No mine havent arrived yet eithet. That would be a great idea, so we could then sort out where they could be left if our. Such a pain having to go and collect from the post office after a long day at work.

Just found them on my potted lilies for the first time, there was no hesitation they were squashed. Round one to the gardener.

Unbelievable what are they thinking. I mean they would rather have glass than branches or grass sods. Compost doesn't stand a chance if councils adopt them rules.
