Jean, should we start calling you hippy chick? I got my first pink and purple needle cord A line dress with a zip and with a big ring in 1967 from C&A. No more dresses with waists and sashes. A couple of years later I had hair like curtains and a leather headband. No photos unfortunately.

No wood burner, but have had the heating on today.

Leftovers tonight, I always make too much when the troops come. Catching up on Montalbano first though.

Just testing to see if you were reading carefully Geoff.

OH says Eammon Andrews was What's My Line, I liked Isobel Barnet best.

Kate, one of the joys of living in a small town, although I don't think our market will last much longer, not enough people shopping locally. A new Morrisons opening not far from the market and The Co-op, it will have a big impact. Tesco 7 miles away.

Inka, welcome back, we missed you. Have you been on hols?

Jean, I think it was later, but hae a feeling it was Eammon Andrews originally. Obviously before I was born?!!

Becks, find a local butcher, who knows where some of Asda's meat comes from and how the animals have been kept. Local meat from a local butcher is often cheaper and better quality. We buy meat rom the butcher on our local market and have never been disappointed. Have you tried spare rib chops? (Not the skinny spareribs) Lovely cooked in the oven with a sweet and sour sauce. i bet Jess would like it.

Pam you are such a talented gardener! I have given up in anklets, mine ever looked like that.

Carol, we are an extremely diverse group with a huge range of opinions ..... And we love posting them!

Am I posting too much?

Christopher, keep posting, enjoy the banter and the gentle jests. Don't take it all too seriously. We do this for fun. Having said that we also enjoy a heated discussion now and then.

I loved the discussion a few weeks ago about not answering the question and going off topic, ending with a barrage of 'non sequiturs'. Humour is a great way of dispelling too much seriousness.
