Hurray, I'm back. Geoff, I think you should change your name to fount of all knowledge! I didn't even think of that.

BTW - that was mam not nan, although come to think of it, she did it too.

Watched Masterchef, won't say anything in case someone has recorded it.

Still waiting for my mackerel. OH wouldn't cope in a fast food joint!

Geoff, thanks for responding, now I know that messages are being posted, but for some reason I can't see my own posts. I can see my name in the latest post list, but not the message itself. Any advice pls?

Seem to be having trouble posting, writing message, submitting and nothing happening. I wonder if all the messages will turn up at once.

Geoff, I do that name thing now, I am turning into my mam!

Bought hot cross buns today, they we next to the stollen and spiced biscuits for that event in December that I am not allowed to talk about, as I don't want to be on the naughty step again.

Evening, having another break from working, got to make up the time from my morning off. Family coming tomorrow, so need to clean up and declutter the living room. We have so much stuff and so little space in our cottage. OH keeps telling me we need to declutter, but keeps buying books and magazines. I buy books and then pass them on to our book cupboard in work. He keeps his magazines just in case. Not quite at TV hoarder stage yet though. DIL's house is clutter free and perfectly tidy. Must be a nightmare for her coming here!

Becks hope it didn't hurt too much and that you had some aloe vera to put  on it.

Please stop all this talk about bulges, it keeps reminding me about mine!

Perhaps Inka is shooing dear away from the garden.

My mam did that too Geoff and now I do it!

I'm not going to say anything about my bulge!

Thank you for the information, I am learning so much more than gardening on this forum. I will watch out for sock puppets, are they easy to recognise? In late 60s or was it early 70s, I used to collect trolls, they were very popular.

You're right Jean, I was getting confused. Is there anything specific related to Halloween apart from bobbing apples. Good idea, a bonfire party, we could have sparklers.

Geoff, the thing I like best about this thread, is that everything is taken in good spirit and even though most of us have never met, I feel like we care about each other.

I always find that in work if I leave some of my emails a few mintues before I press send and then go back and reread them, I often change the wording. The immediacy of the digital medium can sometimes trip us up!

Obelixx, what is a sock puppet please? PS Obelix was always my favourite in Asterix the Gaul, I used to watch it on the beeb and I bought the books.

Kate,  One of my neighbours has Waitrose/Ocado deliveries as we don't have one around here.

Jo, oops didn't think about KL like that. Hope I haven't offended anyone.
