Kate, re Jordan, went out about eight times, but just for the week each time. Fly in Sunday night, start teaching Tuesday, 9-5 every day through to Saturday, fly home Sunday night

Becks, I bet that book is in your suitcase! Remember, beware of those Spanish waiters.

Jean, is it worth me going to see the lights?

Evening all, had a lovely day out in Scarborough and Filey, although it was very windy, so much so that we almost got blown over in the castle. Lovely fish and chips before we left.

Fifty shades of grey, shackles, Ann Summers - this thread is getting very saucy! Someone will be reporting us to the moderator soon ..... And Geoff has missed it all.

Grasses are great value at this time of the year, some lovely red ones. Heleniums, phlox, echinacea, seems still flowering now.

Dove Cottage Garden, Halifax yesterday. A lovely garden on a sloping site with prairie planting, nursery attached with an excellent range of hardy perennials. Well worth a visit if you are in the area.

Becks, it might not taste the same any more though!
David, they are supposed to be pretty good this year I hear.

I'm taking a couple of our Jordanian PhD students to Scarborough tomorrow with their 3 year old. When we used to teach in Jordan, the students always took us out sightseeing, so doing my bit now. We'll be picnicking - should there be a k there, it looks wrong with it and wrong without it!

Becks, I liked Caramac too, but for an Easer egg, a Dairy Box egg was always best.

Kate, a perennial osteopermumTresco purple, actea Samuel Crompton, agastache Black Adder, potentilla x tonguei, erigeron karvinskianus and a couple of grasses. Could have bought a lot more! Once I have charged the camera, I'll post some photos.

Dean, lovely lily.
