Just watched the baking, excellent, you will enjoy it Kate, the strudel was a challenge!

Tired out so off to bed now.

Evening all, what a busy day you've had, conversationally speaking that is.

Kate, unfortunately not, it was 1944 and a borrowed dress. I do have 2 big golf umbrellas (not used for golf though), so I could practise with one in each hand, Geoff.

I've had one of those days today. When I've busy all day, but don't seem to have achieved a lot.

Looking forward to the baking tonight, but have to get through the football first!

This forum is great

Chris, it's good to talk! Particularly when people are interested in what you say and vice versa. It's a great way foe gardeners to get together. Don't feel guilty!

What a lot of posts today, I missed so much, you can tell everyone is back now. I won't comment on everything, but will say:

Becks, I don't want to say we told you so, but we told you so! Glad you had a great time, you deserved the rest and sounds like Jess had a ball.

Flo, I have a feeling that your dogs may have to get used to Twink!

Well first day of Freshers over and done with, all our bright shiny new students in. OH brought Choc Leibnitz home from Sainbugs currently on offer, just polished off far more than I should have, but as you know he takes ages to make tea.

Geogg, my mum had a wedding dress made out of parachute silk

Frank, lots of sheep farmers around here, a very well known family locally specialising in female sheepdog handlers, Katy Cropper was a champion. Whenever there is an event on locally though, it always seems to rain.

Huge spider in the living room, big body and long legs, currently exploring the wall at the top of the room. Hope it's not coming in my direction!

Morning all, wet and miserable here. No, Geoff missed that one, The review wasn't particularly good, did you watch? Is it worth it? Will catch up on Montalbano today though. Am Reading Henning Mankell at the moment, The Man From Beijing.

Put a banana with them Jo, that seems to ripen other fruits quickly, perhaps it will work with tomatoes. Or into a brown paper bag.
