Sounds like that kitten is right at home, Flo! Why were you trudging up and down the promenade? Did I miss something earlier? Did you have a sandwich board with posters of the kitten?

I don't grow them myself, but I admire his passion. I do like to see them in a mixed border though. I particularly like the spikey ones and some of the singles are ver pretty.

Managed to get a few hours in the garden, pulling up all the grass that has been invading from next door's garden. Attacked the phygellus but it's running all over the place. Just when I needed OH to help digging up the remains of the figwort (I know I should never have given it house room) he was having a nap. You just can't rely on them!

Figrat, hopes he is OK, men don't always do pain well, do they? Oh! The joys of A&E on a Friday evening!

I'm off to the recycling centre with my 3 trugs of my cuttings back and a quick look round the market.

Have a lovely afternoon all.

Preston Guild starts today, only happens every 20 years, OH from Preston, so says once every Preston Guild rather than once on a blue moon. Blackpool Illuminations switched on last night. Too much excitement for me, I'm going to stick with the garden.

I could do with going to a car boot sale, the house is packed with stuff, but don't fancy getting up early to do one. I hear they are good places for buying plants though.

Just click on to the tree icon on the message bar and follow the instructions. You can't always upload if the photo is too big. I use an iPad and can't upload from that.

Morning everyone, not much on the cards for me today, a bit of shopping and then the rear of the day in the garden if the weather holds. Trying to tidy up and find space for the new plants. I have a grass to plant but the advice says not to plant grass in autumn. If we have 3 weeks left till autumn, do you think it might be OK?

Have a lovely day all.

What's eating my beans, fennel...and well everything now!

Gardeners generally like to swap stories and spread their knowledge, Paul. You'll always find an answer on here. Not all the conversation is about gardening either.

Not read Donna Leon, will look out for her books. I'm on spies and terrorism at the mo!
