I hope you're wearing your eye patch and pirate costume Dan. Take care of that eye - men and trains eh?

How lovely to live so close to Heligan, I have never been, but it's on my list. Used to go to Cornwall a lot when I was small, but haven't been for years.

Yes Kate,it is a lavender hedge. The other side of this bit of the garden is a mirror image.

Flo, in my experience cats turn up in your garden for a reason!!

Perhaps we could all club together Lottie, would we all fit I do you think? Perhaps we could do timeshare?

Wow Gillian, what a fantastic thing to do! It must have been very satisfying to see them fly off.

Thank you Inkadog, nothing to do with me! The garden is lush and the ground is sodden! You might have some problem conditions, but would you change where you live though?

Not a lion then. How about a cat in a basket? My neighbours linen basket, fortunately none in.

Evening all, Figrat, could it be a lion? There was one out and about somewhere!

Had a lovely afternoon at Holker Hall in the south Lakes, (after OH continued to get his money's worth out of the NHS!) Then went on to our favourite cafe in Grange over Sands for tea and cake followed by a lovely walk along the promenade in the sunshine. Took some nice photos, hope I can manage to get them from the camera on to the computer.

Just watched Patrick Stewart on Who do you think you are. What an interesting story.

Off to the Lakes tomorrow as it looks as if the weather is going to be OK.

Have we had a postcard from Geoff yet?

David, have a great day in Aberystwyth, we were over there a couple of weeks ago.

Evening everyone, had to pop into work this afternoon to pick up a parcel, just as we were leaving to walk back to the car park it bucketed down. Change of plan on the fish and chips yesterday so drove over the Haworth moors to Colne Boundary Mill today for our f&c. Blue skies and lovely sunshine once we go the end of the big ban of heavy black could. The only thing predictable about the British weather is its unpredictability!

Just had a Turkish Delight with my cuppa, mmmmmmm

Enjoyed the off topic postings, you naughty people!
