I'm all for creative solutions, shows a bit of blue sky thinking (I hate that phrase, don't know why I used it). Will he make the cold frame as well as providing the where with all?

Becks, not just a cream egg lover, but just ate a bag of raspberry ruffles!

Left a wrapped one on a coffe table overnight (having eaten one already). When I got up the foil was off and there were scratch marks on it. My cat must have brought a mouse in and it escaped and thought it was a tasty treat. Put it in the waste basket and he must have found it again. I needed to save him from the cats! How ungrateful can a mouse get?

I'm jealous Becks. I wonder if I could build a cold frame on my hillside? I use the big 2 ltr water bottles cut in half for cloches, don't buy them myself but retrieve them from my neighbours in our shared recycling bin!

Did you see GW last night? Cut those that have fruited this year back and keep some of this year's for next year. You can cut the top off when they grow to tall. Someone gave me a few canes which I put in my garden, they were wild though and there is now a huge patch of them in the field behind me.

Sounds like a house full, Becks. You're going to be busy, but great for Jess to have her big sister there.

Let's hope your noodles will keep him going and that he can keep out of the way of cats. I was once bitten by a field mouse and had to have a tetanus! Long story short, it got stuck in the cream of a Cadbury's cream ege that I had through in the waste basket. Tried to release it and the little s*d bit me! The doctor thought it was funny ....
