MORNING FORKERS

Posted: 19/07/2013 at 07:27

Morning all, haven't been around for a while, busy, busy, busy. Final year students now graduated, so time for me to take a break.  Have to work on Monday as we are interviewing, but then have 3 weeks off. Planning to do some garden visiting in Kent and Sussex, have a list - any recommendations from anyone. Strangely, have never spent any time down there, although I do travel far and wide In general.

Just having a peaceful couple ohouses, sit having a lie in.

Just got my notice today to tell me I will retire when I am 66. I can't remember stuff now, so I probably won't be able to remember by name by then.

Lilac not flowering

I had the same problem when I got my first lilac. They do take a while sometimes. threatened ended it and then it flowered! Funnily enough mine hasn't flowered this year, it was a bit battered by the late snow, but the one at the top of my garden is fine.

Lovely pics everyone, not a lot out in my garden yet.  All my aquilegias seem to be purple this year, all except one small lonely pink one. Lots of stuff on the verge though.

I love my dark purply berberis, it's prickly and the orange flowers smell like gone off wine, but it looks good all year around.
