I think it is the one I had before Christmas. It is a rose my SD gave me, bought it cheap bare root in M&S and passed it on as she had no room for it. I stuck it in a tub and it produced this one flower. Beautiful form and heavenly scent.

Now is the time to get rid of them!

Looks like there is a Cambridge mafia starting. Jean and Jo, we could have a Lancashire mafia ...... Budlia could be in too. Perhaps we could become guerrilla gardeners and plant golden rod!

Health and safety!!

I like Golden Rod, lovely for cut flowers. I can't seem to grow it in my garden, the slugs get it before it has a chance to grow to any size. They'll be digging the grass up next, isn't grass pollen a big problem?

I am sure we never used to have so many allergy sufferers. Having said that my husband gets hay fever and I have recently started with it, we wouldn't ask for someone's plants to be dug up though.

Apologies for my rudeness, good afternoon forkers.

I had a bacon and mushroom sandwich brunch, then back down to marking. I am very slow, or thorough as I like to call it!!

We have a tat/junk trip to make, I have persuaded OH to part with all those blinkin' home recorded videos. hurray, a breakthrough.

Afternoon, just having a break from he marking. Have managed to suss out how to mark using our 'virtual learning environment', I am very pround of myself. Just hope the students can now access the marks!

Nola, are you on your ipad? How do you get smilies/smileys????

Pam, yes I have read all the historical ones, but got a bit bored of the repetition from previous books in some. Her non historic ones are shorter and very good reading.

Geoff, lots of tat in our house. OH just sorting out magzines to take to the docs, we are magazineololics!

FInished my book, couldn't resist it. The Little House by Phliippa Gregory, It must have come with a Woman & Home, I got it in the charity shop. Excellent read. The house is full of books, I must sort them out. I like to pass them on. Nothing like a good read and I have done a lot over Chrissie.

It's sort of sad when the decorations come down, don't you think? I quite tlike the holly, ivy and Xmas branches in a big vase, still in good condition, seems a shame to throw them out. I might just take the baubles off. Is tat allowed?

My pot of Christmass hyacinths is out and smelling lovely. Some people say they smell of cat pee, I love them.

Time for marking now. I will pop back when I get bored
