Fork Handles

Morning, up early not out of choice, woke up and couldn't get back to sleep, so decided to get up and have a cuppa and a wander around the forum. I would normally be getting ready to go to work now, so I guess it's the body clock I'll be feeling tired again in half an hour..

Sounds windy outside, it is still raining and it there is a stream running down the pavement outside the front door.... again. Cat's just come in soaking wet and now stretched out next to the radiator. It would be nice to come back as a pampered cat, but I would probably be a raggedy old tom

Sam, I should have said Glyn is short for Glynis BTW! We will probably be going back to our former personae after new year, that will make life easier for you getting to know us.

I'm a cat person too, but just the one nowadays, said I wasn't having any more ..... but they seem to find me rather than vice versa!

Inka, glad to hear you have some sun. It's horrible here.

Why did you all start gardening?

Posted: 30/12/2012 at 19:51

I used to love being out in the garden with my dad, as a small child I had my own flower bed and a veg patch.I used to watch Percy Thrower on Gardeners World with him. When I got my first garden, it was a large communal patch of grass and I start digging it up. When I got my next house a gardener told me that the best thing was just to plant shrubs on the steep bank that was my back garden.  Of course, I didn't agree!

Afternoon all, I have been dossing around reading my book most of the day (after I eventually woke up). it is dark, dismal and we outside. Sounds as though some of you have had better weather.

I saw the match, Geoff, it was a good game. The boys done good!

I see you're back to your old self, Becks!

Watching Tea with Mussolini now, might do a bit do marking then. Home cooked ham and parsley sauce tonight. Might make leek and potato soup and some mine pies with my 08 mince.
