Kate, 25 miles, takes 50 minutes, but lovely drive over the moors.

No little visitors for me tonight, no chocolate bought for the darlings any way, but OH bought Frys Turkish Delight and Co-op white chocolate with crispier, so we scoffed those.

Open Day number 2 tomorrow, expecting rain and hail in NW, hope it doesn't get to Hudds.

Evening all, managed to drive home through the wind and rain without incident, though it was a bit hairy over the tops.

Jean, you can look forward to longer visits to your daughter and they will be more special.

You should see next door's decorations, skulls and light in the windo and tape all over the doors saying enter here if you dare. They have a skull door knocker all the time. And they don't even have any children.

Haven't had time to buy any chocolate, but then no-one came last year and I had to eat it all myself. Shame!

Morning all, an Open Day at uni today, recruiting students for next year, working in sales previously definitely helps in this job. Sounds liked we are going to get rained on this afternoon.

Are we changing to bonfire night names next week? Who is organising the firework display? Would that be you Geoff? Can we have on like thenOlympics had?

Has all this American trick or treating taken over from bonfire night? You don 't see kids outnwithnguys in prams now

And learning from others on a site like this. I hate it when presenters talk about small gardens and it looks huge compared with mine.

Morning, just a quick hello before I go to work, didn't manage to catch up with you yesterday. Didn't want you to think I was slacking. Left OH in bed this morning and just made a quick cup of tea and a piece of toast.

Sorry to hear abot the boiler problem, ours is 24 years old, so expecting to be in a similar position soon, can't get the parts for it any more, so we just keep our fingers crossed.

Did I fall in the water? Perhaps I had a few too many before setting off on the broomstick?
I liked Peggy Mount!
I used to listen to Radio Luxembourg, always difficult to get a good signal. I first heard David Bowie's Space Oddity on there.

I too trim off the lower branches to let in the light and have some crocosmia growing underneath.

Morning campers, well ish! Had another lie in, though was up at4.15 as couldn't sleep, had a cup of hot chocolate and played solitaire on the netbook for half an hour, went back to bed and woke up at 9.30. After that drowned and read my book. Tea and toast in bed earlier and OH just made me a bacon and mushroom sandwich on an oven bottom. Sorry not picked by my own fair hand. There was a display of fungus at the food festival yesterday, a very interesting looking one something to do with a hen?

Wet and horrible here, don't know if I want to go out.
