Talkback: How to take verbena cuttings

My Verbena bonariensis comes up every year I have taken cuttings and they have taken alright and come through the winter they are very hardy. kind regards Peter

They are very thin whitish looking wire wormy type in clusters always on the best ones, I wil try and send a photo when I can get one it might be in a week or so.

What can be eating my strawberry fruits they are very thin thread like worms, as many 12 or more in each fruit can anybody help, thanks.

Problem With Pear Tree

It might be some sort of fungus which can attack pear trees I had the same problem with pear tree last all the leaves and fruit turned black and dropped off when they were the size of thumb nail.

Vinegar for treating blackspot on roses.

As anybody used a vinegar mixture to cure blackspot on roses the recomend using apple cider vineger, I was woundering if white vinegar would work the same.

Thank Edd I for got to say I have 2 window missing they got blown out and smashed in the strong winds we had last month, I am still waiting for some new ones, I am woundering if that might be one of the problems as it would get very cold at night.

What can be causing my compost to have this green algae to form i have been carefull with the watering, in some cases seeds have failed to germinate it is all bought in compost I have used the same sort other years without any problems.

I have used it for all types of seed sown in the greenhouse ventilated well when it gets warm.

Why are our crocosmia not flowering we have divided them up 3 years ago and have had only one flower they look healthy enough in a deep bed with the sun on them for 80% of the time soil is nuteral.

You can cut back cucamelon like you do with dahlias and store them in a shed coverd with straw and then plant them next year when fear of frost has gone if you watch beechgrove garden on sunday morning you will find out

I grew Crook neck courgettes this year not that impressed to many seeds  inside, I much rather grow Tromboncio courgetts they will last right up to new year if you let them ripen like squashes and pumpkins.
