Storing plant pots

Posted: 23/03/2012 at 01:23

Omg yes, ive got the same problem here, i did buy one of those large plastic boxes with a lid similar to a blanket box, in no time at all it was full up, this year our tall freezer packed up, so its now housing most of the pots that i have accumulated, i really think  they reproduce themselves on a daily basis, i give carrier bags full of them away every year and still they multiply lol.

To Ex Barnardo Boy, yes thats the best way, ive done the same thing in my garden and they all are growing well, especially a lovely red rambler, which my daughter wanted a cutting of, im wondering if theyre too large to move now though lol, so looks like ive got more than i needed unless she wants to dig for them.

Well, i use mothballs, i have to buy them online but they do work, chicken manure didnt work for us either.

As to Brenda's mice problem, well a rat catcher told us once that you have to put the mice poison down in little patches a few inches apart as they feed while on the run apparently, we put ours behind the skirting or kick boards in the kitchen, so my dog wont get near them - we've got a rehomed greyhouund that scared stiff of cats.    Also in the kitchen keep a mug of water or something heavy over the plug hole at night when you go  to bed, that stops them coming up from the drain.
