Posted: 03/07/2017 at 21:59

Hi all,

thank you for the quick replies so nice to be back in the garden and learn something every time!!

It only have 2 bunches of flowers by the end of spring, and I need to cut half of it down due to overtaking all the sun light of the plants around it. So I might move it to a open area by winter.

thank you again!!

Orange blossom go wild?

fidgetbones says:

Assuming you are talking about Philadelphus and not the type that has oranges on.

You can prune it now after flowering. It will then grow new shoots which will flower next year.  I would move it in the winter after all the leaves fall off and it is dormant.

Orange blossom go wild?

Posted: 01/07/2017 at 21:32

Hi,

I have been growing orange blossom bush/tree( look more like it!!) from someone else's cutting and finally this year it flower like mad. It was lovely and bees go crazy on them, unfortunately I think I planted it at the wrong place as it has push my wooden fences over after some big windy gaze earlier this year, and i'm unable to move it or cut it down yet due to taking care of a baby. Now the flower has die down is it the time to prune it down and move it to somewhere more open, and against a strong wall maybe? Althought that would mean it's going to a shady area and get less attention.

Thank you for any advice!!
