ID for a cute lily type thing

There were quite a few of them in both pink and white.  I would love to try and grow some but I seem to have more than my fair share of slugs so think they wouldn't last long.

I took this when walking the dogs in a local park, not sure if it has self seeded somehow as there were a few of them scattered around.  Looks a bit exotic for a native to me.

What's your worst nemesis, your most dreaded weed or plant?

Ground elder, I wage a constant war with it as I refuse to use chemicals.  I have managed to pretty much tame the Ivy that was everywhere, it is now sort of where I want it.  Any weed that grows between the cracks in my paving slabs/bricks.......

I just have to keep pulling whatever it is up or hoeing it to keep it under control.

Does this make me a garden snob?

Had to resort to sprinkling Maldon sea salt on the slugs tonight as I'd run out of the basic stuff.....

Thank you Verdun, I have cut it back a little as you suggested but may have the urge to dig a chunk out, a couple of glasses of vino and I start to be ruthless in the garden

I have a large plant that will flower in a couple of weeks, we are a couple of weeks behind the UK here.

It is too large for its spot and I am wondering if I can take a spade and divide/slice out the rear 1/4 to re-plant (without digging up the whole plant).  I won't mind if I lose the part I take out but would be really upset to lose the front part too.

Will I get away with it?

Two plant IDs please

Hmm, that's interesting, I threw around a packet of campanula seeds a few years back, perhaps it's decided to germinate.  My slap dash approach to gardening is buy a packet of seeds you like and scatter them around, if they grow they grow....

I definitely haven't sown seed for either of those so they must have self seeded.  The second one has really nice leaves but I am less excited by michaelmas daisy.

Dear forum people, have I been lovingly tending to two weeds or will they turn out to be something interesting I will want to keep?
