Good morning all from a stalking forker,

Hope everyone is okay. I do try to keep up with you all even though I don't post very often.

I decided to join the local garden club even though I'm not too much of a joiner. They had a talk by one of the owners of Fentongollen flower farm. They have hundreds of areas of daffodils also sheep, cereals and also raise cauliflower plants that they sell on to other farmers. He said every cauli that we bought in a supermarket was probably started on his farm. The special hybrid seeds are bought from Tailand and cost £27 for a thousand. The seeds we buy wouldn't give the results that the supermarkets demand that's why the seed is so expensive.

I looked on their website and a bunch of daffs cost over £15 by post.

An interesting talk all the same. The next meeting has a speaker talking about Heligan so I'll look forward to that.

Hope your rats are sorted Flo. My four chickens lost their husband to a fox about five weeks ago and still seem nervous. I think animals do form relationships with each other and miss them when they are gone.

Ooops boobed again. Quantum jump sang 'Hi Ho Silver Away' not Quantum Leap

Really funny and was banned by the BBC for a while because of it's references to drugs and homosexuality.

I'm afraid so, Becks. I did warn you at the time that it was only a two berth. Perhaps Geoff could bring a tent and you and Jess could share with Mrs. Geoff.

Good morning from another forking lurker.

I love reading your posts and often laugh out loud at some of your comments.

Can I please put in a special request for more competitions.

Geoff and Becks won a week in my caravan for this February  along with Jess,Cody and the chickens but I haven't received the booking form yet.

Just popped out to take this photo. The snowdrops have spread really well. the wet summer must have suited them.

Jo, you won't know what to do with yourself when your daughter moves out. I bet you go over to her house and clean.

Ducks at the butchers! Were they still alive, Rosa?

Reporting for duty,

hope I don't get put in jankers for being AWOL.

Glad everyone is feeling upbeat. It's amazing how a bit of sunshine lifts the mood.

I enjoyed telly last night. Wild Britain then Carol Klein and Monty. How does Carol's tulips not get devasted by mice and squirrels? thought I'd protected mine better this year but the little b*****s have got in again.

Enjoy your gardening in the sunshine all.

Changing the subject, our local council has hired a firm to ring people up who are claiming a discount on their Council Tax as they are the single occupant in their property. This firm is using voice analyst software to see if they are lying and wrongly claiming the discount. Big Brother is coming to Cornwall.

Good afternoon everyone.

Shopping has certainly changed from my younger days. I can vaguely remember the co-op having butter in thin wooden barrels and weighing out things like currants and flour from sacks. In one department store the shop assistant put your money in a tube in it went overhead on wires to a central office where they put your change in and it came whizzing back.
