Been AWOL a few days. Hope I haven't been expelled.

Off to make a blackberry and apple pudding. Really feel like something sweet.

Be with you all later.

Pam-I hope being woken up by a cockerel is not another euphemism.......................

Geoffrey really

Good morning everyone.

Could your bird be a female bullfinch , Bjay?

Just ordered my Christmas present to myself. Four tonne of gravel for the drive. I might regret that later on as it will be me spreading it about.

Good morning Geoff,

My cockerel woke me up about half five. Lovely moon so maybe it woke him early.

Gone back to bed with a coffee and watching the lovely skies.

Looking forward to going outside today and clearing the rest of the falling photinia and cutting the dahlias down and covering them with bracken. Someone forcast the coldest winter for a hundred years so hope they survive. Looks like it's going to be a lovely day, sunny but cold.

Oh,Jean, that's terrible. No wonder Becks is feeling poorly if she was allowed to dry out.

Another alternative, Geoff. I could always have my body made into a diamond or even a box of pencils.

Good afternoon all,

Lovely upholstery job, Inka.

Sorry you and Jess aren't too well, Becks. Have you still got potatoes growing for Christmas?

I didn't realise nail clippings went to make up cliffs. Is that why the sands in the cliffs are different colours? Was it to do with the shades of nail vanish that were in fashion at the time.

I'm amazed how quickly dead bodies of birds and animals disappear. We often see  road casualties but rarely animals that have died naturally.  I suppose we should be grateful to scavengers like foxes and buzzards also maggots or we'd be knee deep in bodies.

I saw a programme once about vultures in a certain area becoming rare and the people who followed the Pharsi religion left bodies out for the vultures instead of burying. I'd be quite happy to be disposed of this way. It would save the horredous cost of a funeral. I might have a word with the council to make sure this is okay.

Beautiful, Becks. I hope you haven't got a key meter

Is that what you call yours, Geoff?

The Mayans could predict eclipses. Could they be right about December 21st?

Should be have Christmas early just in case?

Good morning forkers,

Hope everyone is okay. Thank you for your kind thoughts about my chicken. I haven't had any problems with foxes since the spring when they are desperate to feed their babies. They've had plenty of rabbits all summer but not too many of them now as the poor things have been struck by mxyomatosis again.

I watched 'Return to Forgotted Britain' last night. It was about two farming families, one in Cornwall and one in Wales. They worked so hard and still couldn't make a living. especially the dairy farmers in Cornwall.  The dairy farmers had a suspected TB case so couldn't sell any calves and couldn't afford to feed them. I think the only winners are the supermarkets as food prices are going up all the time.

The sun came out briefly this morning but gone really dark again now.
