Hi David  yes I'm still here.

Chicky,  the shrubs at either end are Acer's,  I got them from Wilkinson's in 2009 for 50p each as they had no labels they have been in pots since so thought it was time they went in the ground.

Kef,  I'm out hoeing the borders every time the sun shines or it's dry so not a lot gets past me that shouldn't be there as god knows what would be growing otherwise with the amount of seed I put out and the birds I get keeps my busy

I was out today and planted some Anemone Blanda Mixed colours and I have some Tete a tete daffs to go in as well bit late for them they are in a pot at the moment so when they're done I shall replant them in there

Oh thanks Berghill,  I don't mind it being a thug as  I have a lot of ground for it to cover and I can give it a hair cut every year to keep it under control,  thanks again x x

Any one got a name for this please,  I grew it from a 'Borrowed' cutting last year,  it's evergreen and creeps across the ground  it's silvery grey and has a small white flower in early spring,  thank you.

Possibly wind burn depends on the variety as some are hardier that others.

Creosote - Which one and the best technique?

Posted: 09/01/2014 at 14:08

I use B+M's own Creocote which is very reasonably priced and for me is the best on the market unfortunately depending on your point of view it has to be applied by brush but I love the smell its no hardship to me,  I did the fence about 5 years ago so does need doing again.
