What's the weather like in your area?

Posted: 04/10/2012 at 18:41

It's been glorious here my side of The Styx Frank,  wall to wall sun from the get go 13.7c and no wind so all in all a nice day,  managed to get the front grass cut and edged,  borders turned over was just going to do the back when it started to rain so put the mower away and came in and had some soup and out it came again so got the mower out and did the back grass, it was very wet and have made a bit of a mess with the worm caste's but it will bounce back,  dropping off now at 9.6c and some very ominous clouds rolling in.

It is rather bleak my side of The Styx Frank been spitting most of the day but at least the wind has dropped, just waiting for my Asda on line order to come between 2 - 4 more often than not its early which I like then I can get on with things,  can't do anything in the garden as it's like a bog,  managed to get some fat balls out for the bird but squelched across the grass.

It was lovely and sunny first thing this morning wall - wall sunshine so got out with the dog early so I could get back and bury Lydia before the rains came back,  it's spitting now but the sun is trying to break through the clouds but I don't think it will manage supposed to be nice and sunny tomorrow through to Sunday and warm won't hold my breath though.

Thanks Maud for the kind words.

The weather here is getting worse by the hour,  the wind has dropped but the rain has got heavier,  the garden is flooded again but at least it's good at draining away,  supposed the be like this tomorrow then on Thursday the sun in supposed to shine and stay shining till Sunday,  will it I wonder I could do with a dry day so I can bury my Lydia,  I have a nice sunny spot for her as she loved to lay in the sun either through the window or in the garden.

Hi Kate,  I feel very lost at the moment and still "see" her wandering arounsd the flat,  it will take me a long time to get used to the fact that she's gone.

Gary,  the Fern that you see now is a lot fatter than she was when she had it done, so maybe when she starts SCD she will loose what she put on,  she was very large before the op and looked wonderful after but guess she must have been having secret snacks or chocolate and streched the band.

Rain and strong winds here matches my sorrow,  yes I did know about the Rainbow Bridge,  I think it was Inkadog that first mentioned it,  lovely web site,  its rained here for 36 hours non stop,  it's not heavy just constant and steady rain but with it been wind driven it makes it feel a lot worse and supposed to be like this tomorrow as well,  have put my Lydia in a little box and placed her in the shed till I can bury her in the garden.

Fern had a Gastric Bypass last year  and was criticised by  members of the public as she told the press that she's done it all by going on a diet
