MORNING FORKERS

Welcome to the land of retired folk Dove,  I did that on 30th September 2010 at the age of 61 and a half,  I'd worked from the age of 15 so thought I'd had enough especially after the 2 very  bad winter of 2008 and 2009 and having to get 2 buses every day to get to work,  getting up at 5.30 to be out for 6.30 to catch the first bus,  the best feeling of that year was waking up on that final morning reaching over to turn the alarm clock off and thinking to myself that's the last time ever I shall get up for work

I'm still curious as to why Dove was posting from under her desk,  wonder if she's got out yet

Why are you under your desk Dove ?

Must dash as I have my little doggie job to do and it looks very much like snow on the way,  it was -4.1c at 2am brrrrrrrrrrr,  just went back to bed and pulled the quilt a bit further up under the chin

Morning all, just,  you get up before the birds Gardening Grandma,  the last time I saw those times was when I was working,  I have taken down the Gh I had in the kitchen and put it back outside and put a fleece cover on it like the other one,  the plantlets in the first one seem to be doing fine so hopefully the new ones will be OK.

This time last year my temps were in the low teens,  April managed to get into the mid 20's May was very warm again in the low teens then in came June and the rest is history

Oh I wish I'd heard that as I've set my Morning Glory away in little module pots,  I shall just have to be very careful with them,  up to now there's about 10 seedlings through.

Thanks Jo !  Re the Hellebore's,  it just said on the seed packet that they had to be between 15 and 22c for germination for 4 weeks then they could go outside,  so as I've never grown these before I just did as it said on the instruction's

It's the Spring Equinox tomorrow so we will be getting more daylight,  so at the weekend I shall be putting my solar lights out as long as it doesn't snow last year I had to keep charging the batteries as there was never enough daylight to top the batteries up and I do like the garden lit at night,  I hope we do get some Summer this year.

I have 12 inch baskets and put 5  trailing lobelia around the outside and whatever I have to go in the centre,  nasturtiums are nice but they drop the seed pods like crazy and sprout in places you don't expect,  I grew some 2 years ago and I'm still finding plants,  they look nice but I want them where I want them to be,  I'm growing Morning Glory for the first time myself so can't help you with that one either.
