Talkback: How to take rose cuttings

Posted: 24/11/2011 at 15:29
I am so delighted with all the help and advice on looking after roses but please let me know what fungicide I should use as one of my beautiful
eight roses has lost all its leaves due to black spot The other roses also have the odd black spot on leaves but the best one has no leaves today due to black spot. I have used Multi Rose but it does not seem to work for me and I spray regularly. What do you suggest please.

Thanking you graciously for all your tips and hints.

Talkback: Rose blackspot

Posted: 24/11/2011 at 15:29
I too, have great difficulty with blackspot on my roses. Might I add I'm new to gardening as my husband always did the gardening but he is not in a fit state now and would love to see his roses doing well but I am puzzled as to what to do about blackspot on most of our roses but one in particular is almost bare of leaves with blackspot. what chemical should I use and is it ever possible to rid the roses of it.
Please advise.

Talkback: Late-flowering clematis

Posted: 24/11/2011 at 15:29
I appreciate any help and advice I can get. We had the most glorious clematis (Dr. Ruppel) last year, it seemed to bloom continuously but what a disappointment this year - very few blooms . Where did I go wrong? If pruning was the culprit when is it to be pruned.
I know so little about clematis or for that matter any other plants but
unfortunately, my dear husband is not well and no longer able to garden so my garden is no longer picture perfect!
Thank you for any advice.

Talkback: Growing canna lilies

I have a beautiful Canna and as I never had one before now, I am not sure how to care for it. If I lift it now or do I wait until it dies down and
there are no leaves left on it and later on can I divide it?
Thank you -- I will appreciate any info on Cannas and their care.

Talkback: How to grow hippeastrum

Posted: 24/11/2011 at 15:28
I have not had a Hippeastrum for years and it is obvious to me now after reading all the comments that I did not have a clue as to how I should look after it.
I think it is just so wonderful that we can now see a video on how to care for plants.
By the way, those who have trouble seeing the videos should get themselves a 'Mac' and they will not miss any videos.

Talkback: Growing canna lilies

I was and indeed always interested in Gardeners World and I was surprised to learn last evening that when I lift my pelorgoniums
then I cut them back and put them indoors if possible. Perhaps I did not catch all of what to do with those plants and how very sad that as from next week, it will not be televised before 10 pm. which is late for us old folk!!
