Posted: 19/08/2015 at 16:10

Can anyone tell me whats wrong with this hydrangea 'Annabelle.

Its been in about 2 weeks in partial shade. Is on a slight slope, has been watered well. i have another in more shade that's fine. Its about 1m tall and cost me £18

Since going it has looked a bit sad but i thought it was just the replanting that upset it but now it looks like its on the way out...Please help.....

So if this is an Oriental type, which im sure it is, it means it is a perennial and will return next year and i can harvest the seeds from the pods and get many more. its a much nicer looking plant than a normal poppy even with far less medicinal effects. Iv opened a pod and theres seeds but im sure its the wrong time to sow them, any advice on how and when and how to sow these and Papaver Somniferum is great. i want them out as early as poss.

Thanks for your kind words Pansyface.

Hi. from research this is an Oriental Poppy which has a very mild amount of Opium in its latex and skin of the pod. The real naughty type is Papaver Somniferum. You have to love the can buy 2000 seeds off ebay for £

I have what i think is an Oriental Poppy which is short, had large red flowers 2 weeks ago and has up to 10 green seed heads on it now. The look like a mans head with a very bad, flat haircut. I was playing with it and some white latex liquid came from it. After pricking a few of them and trying it im sure i got high and my tooth ache vanished for a couple of hours. is this what it think it is??????

Bee's Nest

I have a bird box at my patio attached to a fence post in which Bee's have now set up home. It hasn't been a problem but they are now getting bigger and more aggressive.

I know they wont attack unless i threaten the hive but its getting a bit much now and as the area is quite small and as the number of bee's is increasing im getting concerned. They buzz me all the time and while i love the Bee's in the garden they do attack while im eating my eggs in the morning at the table. The hole is guarded by 3 beefy looking Bouncer Bee's, im sure their watching me....Please dont tell me not to kill them as theres no way id do that  or  im lucky to have them as i i know that to, but can i get them to Buzz Off naturally. id be happy to have the nest down the other end of the garden but not sure how to move it safely.
