What type of Bamboo??

i would look for a clump forming bamboo, it may take abit longer to reach a good height, but will save you alot of headaches and digging it back out, there are loads of places on the internet to buy them.

Tulips

i also lift my tulips but i do this just after flowering then pot them in pots put them in the green house and let them die down then dry them off and replant them in november time and this works for me.

Heating a greenhouse

i started off using a paraffin heater and had the same problems with the black sooty stuff all over the greenhouse and did my plants and seedlings no good, in fact i lost quite a few, i stopped using it and went onto an electric fan heater with thermostat which i would recommend plants perked up and started growing strong and you can control the temp so much better instead of it being all over the place.

i really enjoying watching gw but if i were to change anything i would just have monty and carol doing real gardening at there houses the programmes not long enough for all of them.

can you use bulbs as annuals in a shade boarder as bulbs that need full sun wont put there energy back into the bulb in shade but should have enough energy in the bulb to flower this year is this right?

hi hoping someone can help, is there any summer flowering bulbs for light shade been to loads of shops and all the bulbs need to be in full sun, i have an area against a fence which is light shade all day and well drained soil any ideas?
