LOL!
Come on BBC, please listen to us gardeners. 30 minutes is ridiculous...whats going on? The only additional treat we've had recently is the A-Z of gardening and even the clips on that are repeats!!
More gardening programmes please!!!!!!
Loved her programme...shes great!!! Definately brought some sunshine into our living room. Thanks Carol
Wow wasnt it cold today!! and there was me worried about an early display of daffs n tulips. looks like they will slow down afterall. Snow is forecast on Sunday!
Thanks all! must say February gold in February sounds exciting.
Oooo don't like the sounds of those hungry slugs Obelixx.
Thanks for the link sotongeoff.
Has anyone else found that their Daffs, and other bulbs are beginning to emerge too early. Will their growth slow down?
It works!!! I scattered it around my rose hedge in the front two spring seasons ago, and I have had clear green leaves. I plan to do the same next year. Soot does provide acidity, and roses do like slightly acid soil. Infact the idea was brought over from India during the Raj.
Buzzie-Lizzie,
I hope my Madame AC looks like the one in your garden. I planted mine in the front garden up against a wall. Cant wait for it to do its magic
Verdun...sorry to hear that about your Zephrine and other shrubs, defonately sounds like the coastal air to me Im growing mine in a huge pot on a north/east facing wall. It needs plenty of air circulation though so have grown it up a wigwam. It did look stunning. Like artjak I spray all my climbing roses and roses very early spring with diluted washing up liquid...does the job.
A gorgeous bourbon climbing rose called Zephrine Drouhin...smells yummy!
Hi Bjay
The rose is known to spread quite a bit, and is gorgeous. As long as the chimney isnt to tall, im sure it will look stunning. Great idea to keep it confined because like mint it will spread out.
