Thank you so much Dove. I shall have a go at heel cuttings. And I shall look at bass of the tree for suckers. I am going to look at video  after posting this.

HI.

First cold day down south. In T-shirt yesterday Brrrr to cold today.

Quick question. Can you take cuttings/propergate from a very old tall bay tree. If yes when and how please. The allotment plot close to us has one on his plot. Which we can take from at any time his permission. I love bay and use alot in cooking.

I live in the Berkshire  area and have had as many as 5 soaring or flying really low above my garden.  They are just amazing I love them.

HI G. I have done the second utube on the onion rope. With great success and they look great. Could not get the hang of the first utube demo. The tops of onions kept breaking as very dry. good luck

Sorry for late reply. And thank you all for taking the trouble to reply. I will be trying most of these. Just had a couple tonight with a dash of balsamic on. Even that made a difference.  Thanks again.

Hi all

Bank holiday weekend on allotment down south. Guess what its raining. Things still need picking! Lots of beetroot any ideas other then boiling them please. I don't like them pickled. Ive been reading courgette recipes. Some gr8 ones which i will try. Thanks again

Same here. Just fantastic to see them. Also lots of bees/ other insects on the golden rod,fennel,lieathrus (gayfeather) scabious. Enjoy I love watching them. Great photographs

My garden hate. Slipped on one of those big ones last year.I fell and broke my wrist. So its slug pellets for them!!
