Is it possible to grow a willow arch in 2 pots or planters? If so what size pots would I need and how would I achieve this?

Yes the whole garden design is formal but I am trying to soften this with planting. Both photos look appealing to me. Thanks

I have now purchased a Lutyens bench for the gravelled area but still wondering what to put near/around it to soften the area. The box ball in the blue pots will be moving. I am now going to attempt to attached a photo of the area. The pond look pretty awful at the moment but hopefully when the spring comes all the plants in there will cover up the hideous lining.

Which Lutyens bench to buy??

Thanks for the ideas. I have now purchased one off the internet, mid range price but looks good quality. Hope it arrives in time for the birthday.

Which Lutyens bench to buy??

Posted: 06/02/2014 at 11:39

I am looking to buy a 5ft version of the above as a gift for my husbands birthday but after surfing the net for hours am totally confused. I know that they need to be Grade A teak and from sustainable forests but that is where my knowledge ends. Can anyone help me find the perfect bench? I have found out that prices range from £200 to £600 for this size. I cannot afford the most expensive, more mid range and would prefer one ready assembled as my joinery skills are non existant. Many thanks for any help you can give me.
