Where to plant a Fig?

Is the fig related to a date.I germinated three plants this spring and they look exactly like my cucumber plants but they are definite date seeds.What sort of leave are on your fis?

Hi everybody,new visitor to this site but i am looking for any suggestions.

After finishing eating my dates last Christmas i stored them until this spring when i planted them up.All three germinated but they look exactly like my cucumber plants.Look forward to any comments
