Yes I'm from Suffolk and the paper was the "Beccles and Bungay Journal" Which is owned by the "E.D.P". It's going to be an article about my son growing a giant pumpkin, because he was the one that would water and feed it. He also filmed all of my gardening videos on YouTube. I will also be showing some long carrots and long parsnips, also a few other little bits. I will be posting all of my harvest videos to YouTube.
The news paper has phoned me today, they want to take some pic's for next weeks paper. I can't believe it, very shocked! So will keep you all posted.

I grow a small amount of veggies every year for my local show. Just wondered if anyone else grow anything for the show bench. If so some pic's would be great or just some hints on how to produce that illusive giant.
It tasted like parsnip, but it din't have that sweet caramel taste.I think it will be better after the first frost.
I pulled my first parsnip yesterday and it went around 6 people. Here's my video of me digging it out.

I've never eaten one before so I don't really know. But they seem more juicy than the smaller ones, so I'm guessing that they don't have as much flavor as the smaller variety's.
