Victoria try wool pellets...slugs and snails hate the feel of wool and they're totally harmless to your pets, even if eaten. I have a dog and a cat and use these all the time!

Woops!

You're all finding it a mystery how these plants 'leapt' into your baskets/trolleys while visiting the shops...I work in a garden centre, so you can imagine what it's like for me...I earn hardly anything there due to these runaway plants

Pampas grass

My nan had one in her garden and every year I used to cut it back by around half, but the trouble is you need to be wearing thick clothing and gloves, because it can give you nasty cuts!! People used to (and I believe some still do) set them on fire...this gets rid of all the dead stuff in the middle and makes the plant regenerate itself.

If it's in an awkward part of the garden and you're not 100% sure you want it there! I'd suggest getting rid of it and replacing it with something else you would like to see in your garden

Hiya Lyn! Things are going really well thankyou, I'm about to start a CAD course, which will be exciting! What about yourself? And haven't finished college just yet, although I'm very part time this year (2 days a week), as I did a load of extra work last year

Hello everyone,

I have returned! And am getting ready for spring!  Thought I'd try and do a bit of catching up on here...have read a few pages back, but you lot are all super chatty

I'd like to send my condolences to those who have lost a beloved pet (sorry cannot remember all names)...It's such a terrible time, but it can only get better from this point on
