Fencing for raised beds

I know tell me about it! One downside to fencing is that it will need treating every few years unless you buy the really high quality stuff.

Thankyou both, they're about 4ft at the moment, but I am currently trying to get them around my arch in the garden. Are there any easy ways of doing this, because the branches just keep flinging out?

Thats definitely bamboo, what type, I'm not really sure, but I know from experience that bamboo's can get huge dependant on variety and can be very invasive, they have taken to growing their roots under my house and keep popping up new shoots.

How actually are you mean't to prune rose climbers? This is my second year having them after purchasing 2 in a sale last year and don't have a clue about pruning.

I had a willow hurdle one before, however, I got rid of it just last year after having it for 3, as it started to go brittle and snap. They do look nice for the first couple of years though

No it's the very young garlic foilage, the green stuff that grows on top of the bulb

It's the green foilage they grow, but it's harvested before it stiffens, also called Garlic Scapes
