Flowers on Peace Lily

Posted: 27/04/2014 at 22:00

I know you have to keep them moist and humid, so should spray them afew times a week. They also hate direct sunlight, and are a fan of shade. I bought one last year and forgot about it. Then I found it looking dead and shrivelled up. I soaked it and have kept in moist and cut all the foliage back. It come back very short, but it's flowering! I'm so happy...Yours will get there

Could number 1 be Centranthus?

Any experience of Cerinthe major 'Purpurascens'

I thought that they were half-hardy perennials....Usually treated as a hardy annual?

If you bring them in over winter, they'll survive for years I thought, just like pelargoniums

Plant ids please

Sentimental Plants

I've got a sentimental houseplant - Ficus Benjamina - I bought it because my kitten was called benji, and then he got run over, so I have it in my room to remind me of him.

Also, I bought my nan a rose that she liked, and I bought one for me too. And I also have an attachment to Runner Beans (wierd I know) as that's what I used to grow with my grandad before he died

We have a monkey puzzle tree in the next road, I'm now frantically thinking of all the times I've said no

How olds your eldest OL? Ive wanted to go to one since I was about 12, as my older cousins have been to loads and said they were all amazing! weve narrowed it down to three...the Isle of Wight, Vfestival and T in the Park - Although I think gardeners world live is on the same time as Isle of Wight  I told my friend she had to make the decision, but by the time she decides, all the tickets this year would've sold out!

Me and my friend are currently deciding which festival to go to at the mo, we've narrowed it down to the Isle of Wight, Vfestival and T in the Park. Although I think that gardeners world live is on the same weekend as the Isle of Wight

Transport needed for flooded gardens

Posted: 07/04/2014 at 10:43

Hi Artjak, just realised my message didnt post on here  I'm in Brighton, and mums said she be happy to help with the transport. Let me know if you need me (us).

I was going to have a sort out of plant today, but not sure now. I know I have a few plants to give and was going to order the free plugs in this months issue, pot them up, grow them on for a couple of weeks and then give them to the people in Somerset
