Stunning! I have a much smaller one, it always does me proud.
Thanks Tomsk, I shall try that next time, to be honest I didn't even know the bee was there till the photo was taken. I am however determined to get some action shots now!
and this one has a furry bum!
They are just amazing! Did you know they quite enjoy being stroked? My children think I am mad, I do it show them they shouldn't run from them!
I think most of my planting is for the bees, I have hundreds of them buzzing round my garden. I try to get as many photos of them as I can (I am no photographer!) but today I got one coming into land!
I love my Hot lips! I cut it back as and when I think it needs it, I have no idea if it is correct but it thrives.
Why are our pictures turning out sideways???? not the first time this has happened!
Supernoodle, I have this in my garden, it spreads quite rapidly, I tend to keep it in check each spring by removed the outer edges, it seems to work.
A little work is worth it I think.
I am feeling quite rough with a nasty head cold but was brightened up considerably when I looked out of the kitchen window!
I planted mine in November last year in a planter outside my back door, they were all supposed to be cream..... turned out yellow, this is their first year. They were stunning but had flowered and died by the end of April, my cornflowers have now grown up and taken over hiding the sad remnants. I was wondering if I should leave them in the pot for next year or will they be a one year wonder?
