I planted mine in November last year in a planter outside my back door, they were all supposed to be cream..... turned out yellow, this is their first year. They were stunning but had flowered and died by the end of April, my cornflowers have now grown up and taken over hiding the sad remnants. I was wondering if I should leave them in the pot for next year or will they be a one year wonder?

Thank you Nodlisab it is Winston Churchill! I found the labels (that should be with the plants in my gardening bag!) Label now next to plant!

Looks like Dark Eyes or Winston Churchill.

peonies

I moved a peony the year before last whilst in full bloom (from my Aunt's garden to mine after she passed away) , and it had a major sulk last year and didn't flower, this year it has been a little more forgiving and given me 2 flowers. I have one in the front garden I would love to move but have been nervous about doing so, thanks for this thread I feel a little more confident now and will wait till September.
