What to do with a small North facing area

How about  Cotoneaster franchetii - Hedge,  can be used as a hedge, can be clipped and has flowers for bees and berries for birds, can also provide nesting for birds, i am on north east coast of Scotland, grows and seeds well up here.

Hi Janice, once branches go brown, if you cut into brown patches, i have not seen them regenerate, when cutting laylandi hedge, you need to sure you always cut where it's green. Wind damage can also brown patches. Have you seen any insects on them? Do you have any Photo's of damage?

The Rhino certainly appear sturdy with lots of extras. However i am trying to sell the house, to hopefully get bigger garden, a challenging market place is making this a long process. I can only dream.

Hi Nanny Beach, low maintenance is always high on my priority list. I have seen the green ones on the greenhouse people site, when i am ready to buy, will probably go down that route. This is first year for 30 years had no greenhouse, so feeling the pain.

Yes, I have found a site selling them, as you say lots of extras. But looks sturdy and up to the job. Interesting to know the extras come in matching colours. Thanks .

Hi fellow gardeners.  I am looking to by a greenhouse for my latest garden.  I have seen some 'good' deals with Simplicity  but this is a make I have never heard of. Has anyone bought one  or any suggestions as to best makes and time of year to buy?  Thanks in advance.
