What's the weather like in your area?

Forecast rain showers in Devon, has been glorious!  Grass cut front and back, risked some Zinnias in the sunny border as i have loads.  left a tray of surplus out by the front gate, all the Toms went but nobody loves my Shastas!

Likewise figrat, Toms are OK, first flowers only just appearing, but peppers both the ones I grew from seed and ones I bought are pathetic things!  Would try the bottom heat, if your are like mine they can't get much worse.

Warmth is the thing as sotongeoff says, wouldn't start to feed until first fruits develop otherwise may get lots of leaf and not much else.

Has just clouded over ready for todays bout of rain, have put some Zinnia's in with fingers firmly crossed.

Recommend me a plant

I have had success with Penstimon cuttings  from the "mother" plant now have half a dozen for nothing.

Completely agree, have ordered the special offer perrenials from the Gardeners World mag, have nowhere for them to go without digging up something exsisting, but cannot resist a plant or a bargain!  Yesterdays purchase was another Phormium.

Not sure either is Penstemon, leaf shape looks entirely different from mine, could be wrong though!

HyppyByker I completely agree, and what to do when I go away on holiday?  Do I leave windows open for ventilation and risk damage if there are more strong winds or do I leave it shut up to roast everything within?  One solution is not to go away but that is a little drastic!
