Looks lovely gina, gardening has definitely brought me closer to my dad also, like you we chat about the gardens and his allotment for hours.

Making something out of nothing

Well not out of nothing.....

I have just made a new planter to go outside from the wooden slats on my old bed, and wondered what other projects people had done made of things reused or salvaged from junk.

Here are a couple of pics.

This was made a little bit harder due to the slats being sprung, so i had to do two side with in and two sides out, if that makes sense.

Bulb Sizes

Hi,

I am ordering some tulip bulbs for delivery at the end of summer and noticed there are different sized bulbs, i have had a look around and i cannot find any bulb size charts.

Is it a universal sizing chart that everyone uses or do the sizes numbers represent a circumference, diameter etc?

Thanks in advance.

Andy

Ive just emptied my first bag of spuds after the high winds pretty much snapped all the stems/shoots, they where about 3 foot.  But sadly after emptying the bag i ended up with 20ish that are of an edible size, the rest where like peanuts.
