Cats in the graden

Thank you for all your replies, I also love cats and would never hurt them, so will not be trying Jays fluid. I will try the other methods instead.

I think I read last year that Tea bags soaked in Jays fluid kept cats off the flower beds, do just put the tea bags onto the soil, could the jays fluid damage plants

I find a bessom works really well on small areas of gravel, it doesn't get every leaf but certainly sweeps the bulk of them together to be picked up, I have large gravel

Butterflies & Bees

Posted: 30/08/2013 at 16:50

I have had so many butterflies in the garden this summer, this morning the Buddleja had 21, the Sedum had 8 and there were 7 or more on the walls of the house, they are here all day. The Echinacea has had as many as 3 bees on each flower, this hads happened every day throught the summer.

One of my hanging baskets, it has flowered right through the summer with Surfina Lilac vein, it smells like Lillies. Although my lillies have been lovely this year, I think a fairy has been and planted deep pink ones amongst the pale pink and white ones as I didn't plant them, they last for a few weeks as cut flowers in the house.
