She was quite happy to leave her car- on a corner from the main road- blocking the lane with hazard lights flashing rather than accept help

roses from seeds

You can do -anything eventually will grow from seed -that is how new varieties are produced- but by cross pollination

Now what you will get is in the lap of the gods-you may stumble across some new variety but the chances are pretty slim that you will get anything worthwhile

So look on it as an experiment-it will be a few years till you see a flower -so sow lots of seed and sit back and wait

Remember there are roses breeders that do this a business -if it was supereasy they would not be in business

Kate if I walk about 200 yards- then yes

Which reminds me-tried to be a good Samaritan this morning-a car had broken down on a corner on the main road I offered to push it for the lady she wouldn't have that offered to run her round the corner to my house to use the phone and she said she would walk to the garage

Afterwards I could see why but at the time...............

It has become a sad state of affairs that no-one is trusted anymore- but would woman get in a car with someone they didn't know?-I doubt it.

help....

Toria2

This forum is good for general advice but could I also suggest get some reading matter from the library or buy from charity shop-there are loads of books that will help a beginner like yourself

Also as a novice keep it simple-a lot of gardening is relatively easy and common sense but you need to know what plants will survive a winter and those that don't like frost and what flowers when.

We all started somewhere and there is plenty of help on here-just don't try to do it all at once
