Leaf blower-you are going to use it at most for 1 month a year-off and on-you can hoover up the leaves from the grass using a mower on a high setting-that also chops the leaves a bit-ok you have to empty the box but you have to empty the bag on a leaf blower

Exercise from raking and sweeping-to me unless you can share with neighbours and share the cost it is a luxury item.

It breaks-for those with long memories- like cassette tape that was always found wrapped round trees

I still have a VHS recorder but it hasn't been used for years- quite why I don't know-I might need it one day?

I think even charity shops are now refusing old videos-I would offer them as a job -lot on freecycle-unless you have any unusual ones that are worth selling- before taking them to the tip-then it becomes someone elses's problem

Sorry Frank and Shrinking Violet I am go to have to disagree-I too thought that this thread was just a brief "what I am having for tea"-or "dinner" thread instead it has turned into a cooking masterclass

I understand that brief messages are not you forte-fair enough each to his own -but it has worked on the weather thread-so it would have worked on her

Anyway this is an open forum there are no rules-as I said last week on another discussion- it is what you make of it
