Is that what this is called?-had to google it to get a picture-I never knew its name before-and I have one

It does sound as if it needs a bigger pot-but I would leave that till next Spring

Loading a picture is easy-just click on the tree image-next to ABC- and upload from computer-or click on external link and load from photo sharing site

The news is full of all doom and gloom -there does not appear to be many lighter stories at the moment

That is good then bjay-to be more mobile again-what a treat in store- shovelling compost

Must remember to bring the hibiscus indoors and the bougainvillea

Can anybody explain why the e-mail that tells me Lottie has posted arrives 10 minutes after the event?-is there some sort of time warp I don't understand-then another one arrives 15 minutes later?

Flo must still be waiting for the engineer to rescue her from the Hinterland

Lots late again for registration

Greenhouse

Ideally-a greenhouse need siting where it get as much light/sun as possible-perversely it may need shading during the Summer but you don't want any permanent shading from trees etc.

Again ideally a roof line that runs East to West is preferable but in the limitations of a garden that is probably not crucial or in some cases practical.

Your neighbours -near to a fence and with shrub border in front of it does not sound ideal- but again perhaps that was the only spot?

I have used the word ideal a lot

Advice On Garden Design

Have just looked at Le Hibou's profile who posted from France the other day-also says lives in Tower Hamlets as does Busy-Lizzie- when that is not the case so it would seem to be the default location and the system doesn't recognise overseas locations

Anyway that goes away from the subject- so lets see if Hamsa comes back.

May be genuine-maybe troll

Advice On Garden Design

Is that the same person who complained of wild boar eating the lawn?-we never heard from them again either-another one from Tower Hamlets.

It may be genuine- or some kid in his bedroom-there is no way of finding out unless they return-which would seem unlikely-but who knows?

Tree planting

Planting should be done now or in the spring-the only caveat is not when the ground is frozen.

Advice On Garden Design

There seems to be some sort of default mechanism that places people in Tower Hamlets-they could be posting from abroad and early in the morning in the UK- and by the the terminology of "backyard" my guess is that Hamsa is from the USA-perhaps?-or not

Your plan seems to be roses, some herbs and tomatoes -why roses?-this is a garden- talk of yields makes it sound like a farm.

All a bit confusing and not even sure if this is a genuine question.

Post a picture of your "backyard"- that might be more beneficial

When you say tender plants- which ones?

storing bulbs

You can't store bulbs-you will just need to plant them -make up some containers if you don't have room in the garden

They will not keep till next year.
