Chris could you not have paid with a pre-loaded currency card?-sorry if you already tried that-your way seems rather expensive-nothing was broken but my pride was hurt-thanks for your sympathy

Lottie have just looked out of the upstairs window the pumpkin is about 4 inches round-I first noticed it this morning-I think it had a tea-light in it-can' t tell if it is real or not -will investigate and report back tomorrow.

There have been a few similar postings recently about plums-the consensus seemed to be canker and may be terminal -does this sound familiar~~~~~~~~~~~

It is odd- offence on Friday- arrested yesterday-in court today- having porridge tonight

Have just changed two tap washers-mission completed with no mishaps-it nice when that happens

Anybody need any odd-jobs doing?

No- leave them until the frost has blackened the tops-there is absolutely no need to cut them back before then-enjoy your flowers

You are lucky to have got away with leaving them in the ground that long without them rotting or the frost getting to them-does prove they don't always need lifting
