Flo-you are invisible to me at the bottom of the previous page-perhaps you had a cloaking device on??

-these lumberjacks are pining for the fjords

Welcome back Pam-is the garden still all there?

It feels warmer outside than inside-why is that?

I am practising chewing and tapping the watch

Do you have a photo to share?-or have I missed that?

I have lumberjacks nearby-sadly not singing- but they do have checked shirts

tomato rot

It has been a bad year-blight seems to have affected a lot of tomato crops by the look of the discussions on here-today I removed mine from the greenhouse all affected rotten stems etc

It also happens to the great and the good-go towards the end of here-about 25 or so minutes in

Thank you for that advice-Nigel A will be ok for a while but if it comes up I can catch the bus in providing I can start after 9 in the morning and be back home in time for Corrie

I have cut back stuff and done a pre-autumn tidy up-removed the tomato blight ridden plants from the greenhouse-spied some red ants and discovered that the sun still has some some warmth in it-also had a packet of crisps

Kate is that good or bad-what happened to the castor-oil plants?

Pam- the newcomers  have had their first sleepover and survived the night -getting them to go into the coop was 30 minutes of fun-hopefully tonight they will not need a push- have prepared welcome packs just in case

Back to chicken- watch

I have my chewing gum and selective eyesight on stand-by-what teams are the ones I need to be ready for?

Flo-you have been unavartared?-would you like some of my special ointment?

They are still in separate teams at the moment-it like Christmas1914 in the trenches-I will throw a ball in there later so they can have a kick-about

Footy -can you please tell the local team that it is a game of 90 minutes not 80 then they could win-and now we have another handshake saga-(bored smiley)

Hi all,

I have a rose 'blue rhapsody' which I bought in the summer from a local rose society.  It's had 4 lovely flowers this summer, though they were suspiciously less blue than the plants displayed at the show!

It's finished flowering now, and has picked up blackspot.  I was just wondering, when I should prune it and if I need to treat it with fungicide now or wait until next spring?

Thanks,

Laura

The optimum time to prune roses is around February before they come into growth when you can see where the buds are-leave it alone until then

As regards blackspot at this time of year pick off the affected leaves and bin or burn them-you can start a spraying regime next year-there is little point now
