Leave it for at least 6 months to rot down before digging it in-cover it with a tarpaulin or something to keep the dog away and deter the flies

Digging it in now is going to causes all sorts of problems

mmm-good questions-my feeling is that a bird is going to have to find a poisioned ant-then eat hundreds- if not more-  to feel any ill effect- if at all -so I wouldn't worry.

I have been bitten too-I now possess a third nipple-sting relief is the only thing that works

Spent a happy few minutes deleting e-mails

Do not discard them for goodness sake-google is not always your friend

It just water damage-the skins will be a bit tough that it all-and one shows signs of splitting.
