There is not much more you can do-keep potting them on as they get bigger till it is time to plant out-which could be Autumn or next Spring depending on how big they are.

I let the chickens roam in the winter as well-then reseed the bare patches in the spring-they make a bit of a mess but I can live with it.

look on freecycle-I often see flowerpots being given away.
