Bad news-usually a lot of leafy growth indicates too much nitrogen-and chicken manure is rich in nitrogen.

You best bet is not too feed it at all-I have a neighbour who does zero in the garden-not even pruning yet his roses bloom with no help.

What I am saying is neglect it-no pampering just normal pruning and with luck perhaps even later this year- probably next- you will get flowers

Someone on TAPS lost a chicken this week as well-it is not nice when that happens -occasionally the images of mine that the fox got appear on the photo frame quite sad and that with the hedgehog as well not your week Flo.

Have you done with the decorating?

I was lucky -they were reduced in Homebase by 50% to clear and it was a 3 for £5 offer-I think as their till can't cope with reductions and offers at the same time paying £2 or so for the 3 boxes about this time last year
