Morning all.... Foggy morning in Berkshire today. What a glorious day it was yesterday. I constructed one of my potato towers let's hope they work.... Plant d out my onions as well they were huge under the lights ( still love love love growing under lights!!!) I'm getter big frustrated as I'm waiting on the fence in the back garden being erected can't do anything in the back till that's done as I need to cordon my apple, plum and give my 16 foot big roddie a chop ( after flowering!) plus I want to get my amazing quince tree in.... Sigh

Ha ha ha yes dove that has happened at 5 am in the morning a few times I have been less than impressed.... The chickens also love the fact she kills them and leaves them ( still makes me shudder seeing chickens eat mice)

Morning all

Lol would love to show you pics but you still can't post pictures from iPhones!!!! Here was me thinking they were sorting that!!! It really is like the Albert hall I was a little annoyed but lo loves playing on it! Sadly we lost our cat last year but have another addition to the house hold. Eva is a mischievous little cat but omg she is one heck of a hunter! The rat came back behind the chicken coup until Eva found her ..... No more rat!!!! Will load some pics onto the computer later and load some Albert hall stage pics and probably some chilli pics !! Have a great day people oh and I knew this site was lethal just saw the bbc post and spent a fortune!

Well I potted up my zinnias cosmos and about 30 chillies today busy busy.... So lovely to see you all still here......also planted a load of grasses today to get that prairie feel when the fence is up. I'm still addicted to my ecinechia coreopsis etc..... Mr d built a massive deck by the garden room ( nicknamed the Albert hall stage) so I plan to plant a load of grasses and echinacea in there...... Can't wait x

Salutations fellow green fingered lovelies...... I know it's been an age but I thought I would pop by and say hi!!!!! Last year was manic.... The chillies have taken off with a bang!!! I am now producing jams and sauces all from home grown produce and selling still online and soon at 2 shops! Needless to say this years grow is already well under way using lights and hydro!!! External garden is trashed I'm embarrassed to say however the front garden has now been turned into a mini allotment with step I've apples framing it!!! We have just cut down 3 large llalandaii in the back and I am waiting on fence panels to go up then I intend to create a lush border ( still with wild swan!!) and grow cordon fruit ( bought 8 trees at aldi!!) I am also redoing the school garden and when I have 5 mins am doing my RHS 2 correspondence course....... I hope you are all well I never forget you all

Nice hosts Zimbabwe black is a lovely plant.... Pot up the plug ones into cups paper or polystrene or even plastic they are deep enough and concentrate heat wonderfully.... And they are cheap!

They like the heat but beware of scorching if you have a green tunnel this shouldn't be a problem... Still ventilate as this also allows predatory insects in to get this pesky problem bugs..... Mine are in final pots ( morrisons 10l flower buckets 99p for 10 big pots they are ace... Choose your food wisely about now I would start with chilli focus or if small buddahs tree meta boost and shortly a flower promoting feed! Have you bitten the bullet and grown some verd?

Mel it will love the poly tunnel ..... Just watch the om temps if they drop below 10??? c it tends to slow growth down.... Ciaran 4 you could always buy a meta boost feed for them buddahs tree do an excellent one as do plagaron
