Don't forget the roots are what is growing not the top and without a good root structure you are never going to get a good crop

Overwintering is just putting your chilli into a dormant state.... Cut back to the first v in the stem and keep dry hardly watering at all over the winter ( be warned you will probably get a greenfly infestation) then in spring water and feed and they should spring back to life.....bacctum and annum varieties do best

Fab fab fab..... Chris I use a number of feeds based on hydroponic growing.... My fave this year is buddahs tree getting amazing results with chilli's and outside growth... Tomato feed will do but the ratios are off chilli focus is no more expensive than tomorite.... There is an excellent range of hydro feeds that are also suitable for soil ( including flower promoting) in poundland.....

Diluted tomato food is good as the npk is similar but they are a generic feed ..... I would always go for something more specific now the results are amazing

I start feeding at about the size claringtons are above..... I feed at a quater of the recommended for 2 weeks then half for 2 weeks so on and so on until they are on full nutes.... Also wait for them to wilt a little as they take the nutes up quicker...there are so many nutrients out there chilli focus is ace but if ur pushing the boat out then look at Buddhas tree as they cater for root development, growth and flowering ........clarington they look ace the weather is picking up now so they should start romping away..... I'm using jacks magic compost this year and bat poo!!! Guano they are love love loving it.... I so wish I could post pics I should get an Instagram account and copy the link..... Clarington I cloning a few atm ( Galapoganese wild) she's wonderfully hairy and her leaves smell like chillis!!!! Remind me later in the year I will send you one ......

20 is fine chillies do well at 28 and down but anything lower than 5 they will stop growing and go I to stasis... This is when they stunt themselves it takes a lot of nutrients and heat to get them going again
