small tree suggestions please

I want to put a SMALL tree against a north facing 6ft high fence that my neighbours have put up. Can  anyone suggest options I can consider, please.  I wouldn't want it to grow taller than 10 ft. I like Rowan, but they grow much too big!  Thank you for any adv ice, Maggie

Buyer Beware

At least yours is attractive.  I bought a pack with 2 seeds mats for hanging baskets - one of mxd seeds and other petunias. The petunias are lovely, but don't trail. The other produced only 'wildflowers', that is weeds!  Pink Campian, heartsease, cornflower and other things I don't know the name of (but they grow in the verge by the bus stop). The cornflower are now in the garden and the others got dumped.  Maggie

2 Strawberries! Great. I have several strawberries formed but no where near ready for picking. And my 1 courgette hasn't any flowers yet. Last year I picked a few strawberries on 3 June, I noted.  I've got 2 growing bags of potatoes. And that's my lot as space is very limited!  Maggie

Dobies Garden Centre recommends staking, although apparently they graw to about 18" tall.  Summnerpots - it seems that yours are now at about maximim height. Maggie

Mine are about 9" tall so far.  Hope we get a helpful answer to our query. Maggie

I have these growing well in a very large tub. Do they need staked in any way?  Would that be canes, net  or maybe 'pea' sticks?  Thank you, Maggie

potato leaves yellowing

The leaves in both my bags of Pentland Javelin are changing to a bright yellow. They were chitted then planted on 3 March. I've never grown potatoes before so don't know what to expect, but instinct tells me something is wrong. Advise appreciated, thanks. Maggie
