Since joining this forum I've been helped in so many ways from recognising a plant/shrub to the caring of plants and many ideas to personal support. I've made some very dear 'friends' who mean a lot to me and I would miss them as much as my dearest friends I actually see.

My 'real' friends are not really interested in gardening as such and I'm quite a newbie to it too. I'm very grateful of all the help I've had from this forum and long may it continue.

I don't really see why we all have explain why we use this forum for how much or little we use it, its nobodies business but our own. Some people on here might not be in touch with many friends so it could be their lifeline.

But as somebody said the first poster of this thread has disappeared and not quoted again

I've seen his tour show and he shows pics how Longmeadow was transformed on there too. A very enjoyable evening.

As Nut says its all personal taste, I prefer Monty Don and not that keen on Carol Klien sorry.

Morning all.

Very windy here and still quite dark. Have the lights on

Dove, we don't have panals, but know somebody that does. As Palaisglide says, very expensive and takes ages to pay for itself. Also works better to heat water than the heating itself. Know someone else who in the know so to speak and doesn't have it himself, and said not worth it for the heating of the house
